Add to basketHard Cover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Jillian Richards (illustrator). First Edition. Teen fiction, in which a pair of twentieth-century English boys are transported to a distopian England in the year 3000, some 1000 years after a vast explosion ravished the country; the boys make their way to 'Ondin', today's London, while evading Calculators and Guards of the sacred Circle. Severn, son of British publisher Stanley Unwin, wrote many books for children including two series, and a few books, including a memoir of his father, for adults. Hardcover in jacket, as pictured. Light wear to book; jacket shows some spine fade, small stains, 10s 6d price intact; bookplate of Narcissa Cox Vanderlip inside front cover - though there was a notable suffragist & activist of that name, it seems more likely that this is a younger relation of the same name. Text clean; 175 pages + 2-page list of other Severn titles; vigourous line drawings. Size: Small Octavo.
