He was imprisoned and wounded several times during his lifetime. Oddly, during World War II he collaborated with the German Abwher under the theory that the enemy of my enemy is my friend. This is a Near Fine copy of the First Edition. Green cloth binding with titling in gilt on the spine. Clean text; 284 pages. Appendix, Notes, and numerous photographs. This copy has been SIGNED and INSCRIBED by the author on the FFEP. Sean Cronin (1922-2011) was a journalist, as well as twice the Chief of Staff of the IRA. For some unknown reason, part of the Publisher's name has been whited out on the Title Page; else a Fine copy. The dustwrapper has a tiny chip t the foot of the spine and some rubbing on the rear panel; else, Fine. In an archival plastic protector. First Edition. Hard Cover.
