Original Brown Cloth. Condition: Very Good - See Description. First Edition. 1898. First edition. xvi, 392pp. plus 24 pages detailing other works by the author. We have no information on the author of this book other than that he was an English writer of several Scriptural works, and is probably best known for his two-volume Outlines of Prophetic Truth. The present work is divided into the following two parts: 'Some Foundation and Scripture Truths, Briefly Opened Out; with Illustrative Examples' and 'Divine Unfoldings; in the Words of the Holy Ghost Himself'. The book is bound in the original brown cloth covered beveled boards with gold titling on the spine and front board. The case of the book is in very good condition with shelf wear and some soiling to the boards and bumping to the spine ends. A previous owner and covered both boards and the spine with clear sticky-backed plastic that wraps around and extends onto a large part of the front and rear fixed endpapers. The contents are tight and clean although many pages in Part 1 of the book have neat red underlining or notes in the margin, and the line reading "In the Words of the Holy Ghost Himself" on the title-page is also underlined in red. There are remains of a partly erased inscription on the back of the front free endpaper and a label on the front fixed endpaper. As mentioned above, most of the front and rear fixed endpapers is covered with clear sticky-backed plastic.…
