A newsletter issued by the Tom of Finland Foundation, a nonprofit organization established in 1984. Originally founded to preserve and promote the erotic art of Tom of Finland, the foundation expanded its mission to include all erotic art, with a focus on homoerotic work. Tom of Finland (Touko Laaksonen) was a Finnish artist who produced highly stylized homoerotic art focusing on gay men. His work often depicted men in uniform, or leather clad bikers, with the images countering the heterosexual stereotypes often associated with such people. While Laaskonen's art has received mixed reviews, it paved the way for many other gay artists. This issue of the newsletter has a variety of news briefs on art events, as well as other news relating to erotic art. Cover article discusses the winners of the first erotic art contest held by the newsletter. Interior discusses an exhibition at the Schwules Gallery in Berlin, Germany. VERY GOOD condition. Two horizontal fold creases present. Light toning and edgewear.
