TWO COPIES of this paperback original first edition anthology, Pyramid Books #R-1056: an unread very good+ copy for your bookshelf, AND a good+ reading copy. Both have "First printing, August 1964" on their copyright page, with no other printings. The bookshelf copy is marred only by a tiny bit of spine lean, very light bumps on corners and top of spine, and some light rubbing on the covers. Its binding is tight, with no reading creases in its spine or hinges. Covers are bright and unmarked, with some age toning on inside surfaces. Pages are unmarked and unworn. The reading copy has a sound binding, bright unmarked covers, and, other than a former owner name on its first page, unmarked pages. As with all Space Age Book purchases, I will ship these books in a moisture proof zip-loc bag, padded in bubble wrap, inside a sturdy box to assure they reach their new owner in the same condition as my description.

It was first published in paperback by Pyramid Books in August 1964; it was reprinted in June 1971. The first British edition was published under the alternate title Possible Tomorrows in hardcover by Sidgwick & Jackson in June 1972; a paperback edition was issued by Coronet under the same title in September 1973. It was later gathered together with the Donald A. Wollheim-edited anthology Trilogy of the Future into the omnibus anthology Science Fiction Special 9 (Sidgwick & Jackson, April 1974).[1] The book collects one novella, three novelettes and one short story by various science fiction authors, together with an introduction by the editor. The stories were previously published from 1954-1961 in various science fiction magazines.[1] A copy that has been read, but remains in clean condition. All pages are intact, and the cover is intact.
