Printed boards, front hinge gone, light soiling. 24 pp. Internally clean, with the template for the map of the world filled in. The contents consist of 14 blanks grids with latitude and longitude lines printed designed for students to draw, freehand, maps of the regions designated. The maps of the Eastern and Western Hemispheres have been drawn by an unidentified hand, as has the rudiments of a map of Maine. It appears that the map of North America was begun, but abandoned after the coasts of Greenland and northern Canada had been lightly penciled in. The other templates are blank. A very interesting adjunct to the school geographies used in 19th century classrooms. Published by Sheldon, Blakeman and Company. OCLC 724292853.
