Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. No Jacket. First Edition. First printing. Inscribed to Owen Lattimore from Cyril Clemens, founder of the Mark Twain Society and editior of the Mark Twain Journal (originally the Mark Twain Quarterly). He is the author of My Cousin Mark Twain, among other biographies. The inscription is dated Christmas 1955. Blue cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering. Light soiling on the spine and the boards. Minor wear at the spine ends and the corners. The leaves are slightly toned. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
