The leather shows heavy wear with quite a bit of chipping, sections of spine are also missing and rear exterior hinges cracked. There is also a bit of handwriting on the front… board near the top edge. The internal binding of the text pages are good but there are some pulling issues at the boards. Pages are toned due to age and foxing is present throughout, with some pages being quite dark. The front end page (which is an advertisement page) as the original owner's name written on it, this name is also written, though in pencil, on the second for the last rear end page. Some of the text pages also have larger foxing spots which may actually be caused by Inc. The rear end page has the owner's name lightly written in pencil along with a pencil rubbing of what appears to be a large cent. Title page states 13th edition.
