Packard taught poetry and literature at NYU, The New School, Cooper Union, and Hofstra, as well as acting, and playwriting at the HB Studio in Manhattan. He is the author of the textbooks "The Art of the Playwright," "The Art of Screenwriting," "The Poet's Dictionary," "The Art of Poetry Writing," and "The Poet's Craft: Interviews from the New York Quarterly." Covers show mild wear, with soiling to rear. Interior is clean, crisp, tight & bright. 71 pp. Approx. 5.5" x 8.25". A very nice copy and an excellent addition to your library. Very scarce. With a discreet "Complimentary Copy" rubberstamp on the first leaf, and a laid in card from Experiment Press announcing this publication, as well two others by Packard. On the verso of the card is a typed note, signed by the author: "Dear Ossie Davis, I thought this script might interest you. Cordially, Wm. Packard." With the ownership stamp: "Property of Ossie and Ruby Davis." Toning and a diagonal crease to rear wrapper; wear to edges and corners; remnants of a small label on front; good copy.…
