"Translated and edited by D'Arcy W. Thompson, With a preface by Charles Darwin". Thompson got top billing over Darwin on both the spine and the title. He was at the time just 22 years old, a scholar of Trinity College, Cambridge. A gift inscription dated 1935 on the half title; booksellers ticket (D. Wyllie & Son, Aberdeen) on the front endpaper. Very little wear, three small bits of cloth bubbling, rear endpapers just beginning to crack; cloth and paper clean. A Very Good copy.…
