Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. 1st Edition, Folio Edition 1985. Royal 8vo. Lovely wood engraved illustrations by Peter Reddick, coloured double map endpapers. Very good clean tight sound square, clean crisp corners and edges, no bookplate, inscription or marks of any kind. Beautifully bound in very good bright gilt lettered pictorial yellow ochre cloth boards featuring embossed red corn doll illustration to upper, attractive title label to spine and top publisher's brown. Great shelf presence. Housed and protected in original slipcase gently dusted to unseen shelf edge. Lovely edition of this classic tale, with the trademark elegance of the Folio Society. An attractive addition to the library of reader, scholar and collector alike.
