The intention of this work was to 'attempt to produce within a single volume a record of the growth, progress, and development of the French metropolis from the revolution of 1789 to the present day.' Dedicated to the friendship of the British and French People. In a cloth binding. Externally, smart but with slight wear to extremities, very slight marks and minor rubbing in places to boards. Internally, firmly bound. Bright and generally clean throughout but with slight foxing to first and last pages only and occasional spots to text block edge. Very Good Indeed. book.

Centre signature starting but the binding is sound. Dustjacket is clipped, with some light wear to the outer extremities and a small chip to the head of the spine panel.

Condition: Good. This red cloth hardback is in a good clean condition internally, with the exception of an inscription on inside cover. Externally the cover is worn and has scuffs and marks at front, back and along spine.
