First Edition. The contributors to Volume 2 are: M. H. Pirenne, F. H. C. Marriott, H. J. A. Dartnall, and Ragnar Granit. Granit is the author of Part III: The Visual Pathway, pp. 537-763. Ragnar Granit shared with the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1967 with H. Keffer Hartline and George Wald, "for their discoveries concerning the primary physiological and chemical visual processes in the eye.".
