Extracts From The Red Notebooks, Matthew Engel, Macmillan, 2007, Signed First Edition, First Impression When the author began his journalistic career, he started to keep a notebook in which he recorded any quotes, jokes or facts that made him laugh, smile, sigh or simply raise his eyebrows.
