All are clean and bright. Covers exhibit light wear, fraying and bumping to corners and spine ends. Light shelf wear and soiling to covers and spines. Inside hinge off volume one is cracked but still firmly attached. Inside front and back covers, ffep's, bfep's and text are slightly yellowed due to age. Otherwise clean and unmarked. Illustrated with 69 reproductions from photographs and numerous maps. Starts in volume one with Pershing receiving a telegram indicating he is to go to France. Concludes with the Armistice. Interesting recollections of the Commander-in-Chief of the American Expeditionary Force in WWI. All books are individually examined and described. Never ex-lib unless stated.
