Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Very good condition maroon boards with bright gilt front cover lettering. The front spine has started (see photograph) but pages are all intact and in fine condition. The first free endpaper contains a vintage 1913 neatly scripted inscription but the page is glued to the inside front cover; the first free endpaper has a 3 inch closed tear from that page evidently being pulled back from the inner front board (see photograph). Otherwise, the boards are in fine condition with light rubbing at the board tips. The inner front spine hinge shows wear but still firmly attached to the spine. The author was the President of Bowdoin College. An exceedingly rare volume in any condition.…
