Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Octavo, 276 pages, index, illustrated. Coloured frontispiece is present but detached, 16 black and white plates as called for. At some point this book suffered water damage particularly to the endpapers and first few pages. It looks as if the bottom edge was affected as all the plates have a water mark along the bottom edge but it doesn't come up as high as the picture. The ones to wards the front are more affected. Apart from the first few pages the pages of text are not so affected, presumably the absorbent nature of the paper helped.
