Minor edge and corner wear, gently scuffed, lightly shelf worn, ex-library with the usual library markings, first three pages have a 1" tear near the base of the spine, first illustrated page of chapter 1 has a 1.5" tear that has been repaired with acid-free tape, 2nd illustrated page of chapter one is missing a portion of the lower corner, overall a clean used first edition! Very very rare and hard-to-find! Unpaginated, wonderfully illustrated in blue and red! Extremely scarce and out-of-print! "Inside the black smoky roundhouse there were many engines. Three were great, strong freight engines. There were fast passenger engines. There were long, thin, streamlined engines. There were funny, fat little engines.
