Softcover. Condition: As New. Novy svazek edice Fototorst. Emila Medkova (1928-1985) patrila mezi nejvyznamnejsi ceske fotografy druhe poloviny dvacateho stoleti. Jeji tvorba byla bezprostredne spjata se surrealismem: v ranem obdobi s okruhem mladych autoru soustredenych kolem Karla Teigeho, v zaverecnem obdobi s cinnosti Surrealisticke skupiny. V letech 1947-51 vytvarela se svym manzelem, malirem Mikulasem Medkem, soubory inscenovanych fotografii, od pocatku padesatych let se pak zabyvala nekolika volne se prolinajicimi tematickymi cykly (napriklad Zaznamy, Zavreno), ktere prochazely celou jeji tvorbou az do smrti. Na prelomu padesatych a sedesatych let se stala celnou predstavitelkou informelni fotografie. Prestoze sve namety nachazela predevsim v Praze, uskutecnila i obsahle soubory z Parize (1966) a Italie (1967). Her work was influenced by Surrealism. She was the wife of painter Mikulá Medek. This Portfolio has been enlarged from the original negatives. Each photograph is numbered and stamped on the reverse side and mounted in the chemically neutral mat, published in only 15 numbered copies. Text in Czech and English language.
