Octavo (8-3/4" x 5-1/2"). Contemporary pebbled cloth, blind frames and gilt library name and insignia to boards, gilt title and library name to spine. Light rubbing, chipping to head of spine, title dulled, light wear to foot of spine, joints starting, moderate wear to corners, hinges cracked, bookplate and small location mark and label to front pastedown. Light toning to interior, faint spotting to margins in a few places, library stamps and minor finger smudges to title page and a few other leaves. $650. * Only edition. Written by an unidentified author, this curious book describes ways to apply principles from logic and the natural sciences, such as hydrodynamics and optics, to legal practice.
