Internally generally clean and bright; attractive untrimmed textblock edges are a lit…tle bumped; very light age toning, occasionally heavier; very light foxing, occasionally heavier; occasional light soiling; very light damp staining affecting a small number of plates; 4" tear (without loss) to top of Common Rosemary, 3 plates have small (<1") tears, 2 plates bound upside down. A total of 179 copper plates by Henderson, Miller, and Reinagle. As usual, the plate numbering is erratic and known copies vary in their plate tally and order; our copy has more than most. Vol. 1: viii (incl.frontis), 90pp., 91 plates at rear (86 illustrations + 5 tables); vol. 2: front., pp.73, (1), 23 Class title pages, 87 plates of illustrations. Overall Good+.
