"A synopsis of councels", by John Prideaux, a translation of his "Consiliorum synopsis" (Wing P3421), has separate title page dated 1681; pagination and register are separate. This edition may also have been issued separately (Wing P3437). A summary guidebook, published posthumously, and likely edited by his father, John Prideaux, Bishop of Worcester, to the ecclesiastical and political history of the ancient world, up to and including the Stuarts and Tudors. There were six editions published from 1648 to 1682. Only the last included the Synopsis of Counsels. Wing P3445.
