Cloth-backed boards, price-clipped dust-jacket. Bookplate of Geoffrey Clegg Hutchinson Baron Ilford (British Conservative politician 1893-1974) who has initialled and pasted to the end pastedown an extract from an auction catalogue dealing with a two-manual harpsichord "identical with my harpsichord but in poor condition." The book is generally in good plus condition but it is apparent that it has been subjected to a damp atmosphere.
