Reseña para plataformas Dulce Patria es una pieza especialmente buscada dentro de la bibliografía de Pablo Neruda. Publicada en Santiago de Chile por Editorial del Pacífico en 1949, se trata de la primera edición de este poema, registrado por Memoria Chilena como edición de 44 páginas. La obra tiene un valor literario y bibliográfico notable porque aparece como anticipo de Canto General: Dulce Patria es un extracto del canto Los Libertadores, parte de la gran obra americana que Neruda publicaría poco después. Open Library recoge precisamente esa nota editorial, donde se indica que el texto pertenece a Los Libertadores y que este, a su vez, forma parte de Canto General. La edición destaca también por su factura gráfica. La portada, las iniciales y la tipografía fueron diseñadas por Mauricio Amster, figura central del diseño editorial chileno e hispanoamericano del siglo XX. Librerías especializadas identifican esta edición como primera edición de Editorial del Pacífico, Santiago de Chile, 1949. Ejemplar encuadernado posteriormente en tapa dura roja, con lomo decorado y cubierta original conservada. Esto conviene declararlo con claridad: no es un ejemplar en rústica original pura, sino una copia reencuadernada que conserva la cubierta original. Para coleccionismo sigue siendo muy interesante, pero no debe presentarse como "rústica original intacta" porque sería boludeces y después puede traer reclamos. Muy buena pieza para coleccionistas de Neruda, poesía chilena, primeras ediciones latinoamericanas y bibliografía vinculada a Canto General.
