First edition. viii, 65pp, [5]. With a half-title and numerous line illustrations in the text. Original publisher's brown cloth, stamped in gilt and blind. A trifle rubbed, lightly sunned. The sole edition of a primer on drawing for the use of schools by Ellis Abraham Davidson (1828-1878), educationalist and pioneer in the teaching of techniques for art study. The usual databases record copies at six locations (BL, Cambridge, NLS, Oxford, Trinity College Dublin, and V&A). Size: 8vo.
