Heavier to endpapers and pastedowns. Previous owner's inscriptions to endpapers. Tears to some page edges, text remains unaffected. Boards have light shelf-wear with corner bumping. Slight crushing to spine ends. Water marking to spine.

Lettering a little scuffed/dulled on spine, endpapers browned, good. A collection of eleven short stories, featuring Staff Surgeon O'Brien (the "Doc"); set on H. M. S. Alcibiades, and the O2 submarine, during the First World War (1915). The identity of the author remains unknown. Book.
