The rider was Columbus, Ohio-native Conn Baker, a premiere racer between 1893 and 1898 who won numerous awards and set several world records, before becoming "Dia…volo" in 1903, barreling down a 100-foot wooden ramp and around a 24-high loop dressed as a devil. Scarce.
