Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine/Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good/Near Fine. H. Lawrence Hoffman (illustrator). 1st Edition. 8vo., 291pp. Sharp Stated First Edition of this work of historical fiction centered around the Children's Crusade of 1212. Bound in black cloth with blind-stamped borders with lettering in gilt on the spine. Square, tight and clean throughout with little or no wear or toning. Very attractive unclipped dust-jacket, ($3.95), has a couple of short closed edge-tears with attendant creases. Spine mildly toned. Mild surface rubbing. Still fresh and bright and presents very well. Though not marked in any way, this came directly from the library of H. Lawrence Hoffman who illustrated the dust-jacket. His son, David Hoffman, the noted documentary filmmaker, has signed a statement with information about his father, the artist, and attesting that the book was from his library. A copy of this is included. A very pretty collectable copy of a surprisingly quite uncommon title.
Condition: Good. Good condition. Acceptable dust jacket. (literature, american fiction ) A copy that has been read but remains intact. May contain markings such as bookplates, stamps, limited notes and highlighting, or a few light stains.
Condition: Good. The jacket and content have foxed marks. Remains fine to read throughout, a decent enough copy considering age.
