The CDC CYBER range of mainframe/super-computers was the primary product line of Control Data Corporation (CDC) during the 1970's and 1980's. CDC stopped making CYBER mainframes in 1992. Once modern desktop systems became powerful enough, some former users of CDC CYBER mainframes tried to create software emulations of these computing dinosaurs.
