Illustrated with numerous b/w photographic plates throughout. There is a list of Masters, list of meets, index of names and index of places at the rear of the book. Bound in burgundy cloth boards with gilt embossed lettering to the front board and spine. The head and tail of the spine are a little bumped and all four board corners are turned in or bumped. There is some scattered light foxing to the end papers and fore edges and slightly to the margins of a few other pages. There is a neat light crease to the top of pp8. Pencil monogram and date inscription to the reverse of the frontispiece plate. A very good minus copy of this first edition.
