Soft Cover. Condition: Fine. 1st Edition. Vintage Paperback. PBO Gold Medal # s1162. Beautiful Unread First Printing of this Paperback Original. September, 1961, $.35 cover price. Reissued as "Coward's Kiss" in 1986. Square, tight, and clean throughout with little or no wear or toning. A faint impression on the front cover and first couple of pages that is really too shallow to call a crease but still a minor imperfection to note. Fresh and bright with no chipping or tears. Very well-preserved. Signed by the author on the title page. A gorgeous collectable copy, uncommonly signed and scarce in such high-grade condition.
