GOODMAN, Paul. THE DEAD OF SPRING. Glen Gardner, NJ: Libertarian Press, 1950. 8vo., printed wraps. First Edition. Limited to 2,000 copies. [Nicely 194]. Signed inscription by Goodman on front endpaper: "To Bernard [Geis, the publisher?], Paul Goodman." Probably one of the most fragile books I have ever encountered- printed on very poor quality paper and comprised of punched sheets and printed cardboard covers bound in a green spiral plastic holder. The last copy I've seen catalogued was in 1988 and I doubt if many copies have survived over the years. Very Good (the first few pages are loose in the binding- no surprise given the quality of paper and the way it is bound). Uncommon, especially signed. $85.00.
