De la biblioteca del profesor Wolfgang Haase, editor durante muchos años del ANRW y de la Revista International Journal of the Classical Tradition (IJCT). - Un borde rozado y ligeramente abollado, por lo demás bueno y muy limpio. - Dal testo: El descobriment, en unes excavacions, dun conjunt de llibres escrits sobre papir, una biblioteca sencera dels primers segles del cristianisme, era la sensacional noticia que publicava el diari The Times de Londres, el dinou de novembre de 1931. El contigut era homogeni, puix que quasi tots els llibres eren biblics. Sense indicar el nom précis de la localitat, la noticia deixava entreveure El Faium com a regiô probable de llur procedència. Al cap de no gaire temps hom digue sense ambages que els papirs havien estât descoberts a Kom Ishgau, lantiga Aphroditopolis. Era, daltra banda, una ciutat prou coneguda en la història de les grans troballes, des que en les seves ruines Gustau Lefebvre havia descobert lany 1905, entre altres papirs, el famés codex de Menandre.
