THE WRAPPER : The evocative wrapper on this copy (artwork by Barbara Walton ) is bright and complete. It is unclipped. The front panel is bright and unfaded, showing trivial rubbing to the top edge. The spine is unfaded and clean. It shows some inconsequential rubbing to the ends. The back panel is sound, showing gentle overall soiling. Looks sharp in protective plastic. THE BOOK : The book is square and very tight. The boards are clean, the corners are sharp. The spine ends are gently bruised. The pages are clean. No foxing. The closed page edges are sound - they are lightly flecked. No dog-eared pages. The binding is solid - no cracked hinges. There are no previous ownership inscriptions. The tops of the page edges have one faint spot and there are two tiny spots to the fore edges. The page edges have only very slight browning. The pages are clean and unmarked. The jacket has a small patch of surface damage to the front panel where a label has been removed, a little rubbing to the corners, a tiny nick at the bottom of the spine and light wear to the rear panel.
