Clements: neat hand written biography of the author's war record on the rear end paper, in Clements' hand, together with loose and pasted obituary clippings of military personnel on rear paste down. Original publishers cloth binding in black, lettered gilt at spine. Dust jacket design by Oliver Elmes featuring a dramatic illustration of paratroops falling from the sky; with a short biography of the author on rear flap. Very good in very good dust jacket. Decent copy.

In overall very good used condition in a good dust jacket with some minor signs of age, handling and storage - dust is rubbed and chipped to edges with a couple closed tears; black cloth boards, with bright gilt titles to spine, are clean and crisp. Binding tight, no annotations or inscriptions - old price in ink (4/6d) to front endpaper, page-ends a little dust-marked but text and illustrations bright and clear throughout. Not an old library book.
