A well preserved example of this very scarce late Victorian children's Nursery Rhyme title. Some illustrations signe…d with the monogram of Rose C. Petherick; others unsigned or signed with a nonogram/mark which combines the letters T H and C. All illustrations in color and have the appearance of lino cuts. Printed in color lithography. Just mild rub to cloth at corners; red cloth backstrip unlettered, as issued. Prior owner gift note in manuscript to front endpage. About 44 pages. Profusely illustrated in color. Handsome copy; only one other example located [Princeton Univ Library] in a search of world library collections. VG+.
