San Francisco: Paul Elder and Company, 1913. near Very Good hardcover; tan textured paper boards, black lettered, illustrated with numerous tipped-in photographs on Japan and India by Isaac O. Upham and 64 full-page plates; index, xx+177 pages. Author Fitch (1852-1925) wrote a Sunday column for more than 30 years in the San Francisco Chronicle. Before World War I he toured Japan, India, Manila, Hongkong, Canton, Singapore, Rangoon, and Egypt. Light soiling (fingering) on front cover, sunned backstrip; Contemporary gift inscription on first page, otherwise no markings.
