Hardcover. Condition: vg. First edition. Quarto. 156pp. Photo-illustrated dustjacket over decorative black and burgundy cloth with embossed white lettering on cover. Subject of this book is "Pictorialism," a late 19th, early 20th century international style and aesthetic movement that strives to 'create' rather than simply 'record' it. The exquisite selection of sepia-toned photographs presented here are mainly portrait, nude, and landscape photographs, and the technical methodologies of photography by an author who's pictorial prints have been exhibited in practically all the competitive salons in the world. Dustjacket rubbed and with light wear along edges and a couple of small chips at tail of spine. Light age-toning of block. DJ in overall good, binding and interior in very good condition.
