    Cloth. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. A very good copy of this collection of photographs of the construction of a diversion of the East Coast Main (Railway) Line by A. Monk & Co. PLC in 1980. Monk & Co. were a major Civil Engineering and Construction Company, in Padgate, Warrington. This was the first new Railway Line to be laid in the 20th Century. No Dust Jacket (as issued?). Cover: dark red cloth with and gilt lettering to front and spine; in very good, clean, bright condition; no fading or creasing; just the slightest signs of shelf wear. Internally: Very clean and tightly bound; small very discreet book plate from previous owner to front paste-down; no other inscriptions or markings; printed on high gloss photographic paper; just the slightest darkening to page edges; overall in very good condition. Illustrated throughout with many black and white photographs. 72 pp. Hand written note from previous owner who was involved in the inauguration ceremony, loosely inserted.
