Reprint hardcover in green cloth covered boards some handling soil has darkened the front board and spine. 157pp text is tight and crisp with a frontispiece in color and bookplate on FEP. No writing or highlighting inside. Original dj is clipped and foot of spine… is starting to chip with a tiny closed tear displays well in new mylar. There had been a family feud, but now it was over, and Bob, Babs, and Bee Percival went to live in Devon near their relations. Bob made friends with his cousin Harry, who was rich and inclined to boast about it; and Bee made friends with everybody but especially Agnes and Jimmy Duran and Dr. Ted. Dr. Ted told the children the story of St. Christopher, who lived by a river, and served God by helping travelers. The children also lived by a river. If only, Bob thought, he could carry someone over the river in a storm, as St. Christopher did.
