Calligraphic title in bottom left corner; scale at bottom righ; compass rose to upper left. Light age-toning to paper. Professionally matted and framed… in wood with gold trim (glass covered) by Bobby McKibben in Belfast, whose sticker and description of the map is on the back of the frame. Minor scratches to frame. Beautiful presentation. Bernard Peter Scalé (1738-1826) was a Dublin surveyor and draughtsman, whose works included a fine series of hand-coloured county and province maps of Ireland published within "An Hibernian Atlas; or general description of the Kingdom of Ireland", published by Robert Sayer.
