Aillet (illustrator). Original vintage travel advertising poster to promote the seaside town of Luc sur Mer and the coastal area of the Cote de Nacre in the Calvados region of Normandy in the northern part of France. Colourful Art Deco design depicting three images: the seafront in the resort town of Luc sur Mer with sailing boats at sea in the foreground and beach cabins on the sand and along the promenade in front of the town's buildings and a French flag; the image above showing a dramatic sea crashing against cliffs on the coastline; and the image below depicting people walking along the promenade in the evening with the text positioned above and down the right side in stylised white, black and orange letters. Printed by Les Papeteries de Normandie, Caen. Excellent condition, backed on linen. Size: 103x71cm.
