First American hardcover editions, with dust jackets, published by Knopf.Canopus in Argos: Archives, The Sirian Experiments, The Making of The Representative For Planet 8. Volumes 3 and 4 of the series. Science-Fiction series focused on accelerated evolution. Both volumes are first edition, first printings of the American hardcover editions. Volume 3 published 1980, Volume 4 published 1982. Dust jackets are not price clipped. Both jackets have edge wear, short closed tears along the edges, some fading to the spine panel, though all lettering is legible. Jacket for Volume 3 has chips on the back panel, one at the top right, one at the bottom left. Jacket for volume 4 has a chip at the top right corner of the front panel, about 1" X 1". Both volumes are 6-1/2" X 9-1/2". volume 3 is 288 pages, Volume 4 is 146 pages. Black cloth covered boards, sewn bindings. Some age foxing spots to the pastedown pages, top edges, and fore edges of the text block. Bindings are tight. No former ownership marks, no writing on the text pages. These are not library discard copies. Attached photos are of the copies we have in our inventory.
