First Edition
Unbound. Condition: Fine. Book order form. Single sheet of cardstock measuring 3¼" x 7¼", printed on both sides. One corner clipped (as issued?) else fine. The form offers six books for sale, with brief desriptions: *The Law & Cliches of Socialism*, *Slightly to the Right* ("The 'How To' book of conservative communications"), *Pass the Poverty Please*, *Strike from Space*, *The Gravediggers*, and *None Dare Call it Treason*. *The New York Times* wrote a short article on Constructive Action, Inc. and its founder Ted Loeffler in 1966. At that time, "convinced that Communists are recruiting many students," Loeffler's group was planning a spring deluge of 400,000 books covering 25 college campuses. Later, the author notes that most of the books offered by the organization were also offered for sale by The John Birch Society's Opinion Book Stores, of which there were nationally 340 at the time, but Loeffler claimed no membership or ties. An interesting piece of ephemera from a perhaps understudied American Conservative group.
