All of the bindings are tight and square, all hinges firm, most corners moderately rubbed, some spine ends rubbed with ocassional very minor loss, the portrait and title page in Vol. 1 have some foxing, but the foxing in the remainder of the set is light and widely scattered. A rather attractive set overall.
