Two ornate nickel clasps at the front. Pages edges are dull gilt. Binding is tight. Content is clean. EPPs are dark blue moire. First free page has a light crack along the spine and is detached (2 inches long). Small stain at the lower corner of 2nd free page. Presentation page is richly colored & illustrated. Name is slightly faded but still legible and has the date of 1889. Frontispiece in color, has the Word of the Lord in Red/White/Blue on gold background. Next page is an ink drawing of Joseph sold by his brethren. Thick paper protecting pictures. Next page is the Red and black Title page. Includes: Names & order of all the Books of the Old & New Testaments with the number of their chapters. Colored Maps. Biographical sketches of the Translators & Reformers, Scholars who rendered the Bible into the English Language. In the back, 4 pages of Family Portraits.
