Contact seller5-star sellerHardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. First Edition. A posthumous look at Earle's final ten very productive years, with full-color reproductions of his screenprints, with text by Earle (1916?2000) on the facing pages. An appendix lists the prints and their details. "This book represents the serigraphs which we…re printed and published from 1991 to 2000. Silk screen printing as I use it becomes an art medium in itself as important and original and different as oil painting. I do not try to copy an oil painting, but rather I create a new work of art using the silk screen process"?quoting Earle on the dust jacket. Earle designed the Academy Award-winning short animated film Toot, Whistle, Plunk and Book. His work on the backgrounds of Sleeping Beauty gave that film its mythic, timeless look, a style that carried through to many of his screenprints. 10-1/2 by 13 inches. 360 pages. First edition (first printing). A fine copy in a fine dust jacket. In the original cardboard box (very good).
