Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Fair. 1st Edition. True first British printing with original unclipped jacket (9/6). Jacket has faults - namely edge/shelf wear, numerous tears, patchy loss (mainly to head/tail of spine and to corners), creasing/rubbing to edges, few marks, fading to spine, foxing, creasing/rub…bing to head/tail of spine, pushing/bumping to corners, is a little fragile and is in only fair condition. Boards are good with pushing/bumping to corners, light crease to spine (book has been read), patchy fading, the odd small mark, odd small bump/rub to edges and a little pushing/rubbing to head/tail of spine. Pages are generally clean and the binding is tight. Small bookseller's stamp to front end-paper. Pages are a bit tanned. Odd small mark/mild foxing to page edges, tops and bottoms. Previous owner's name in pencil to front end-paper. Top of pages slightly dusty. Couple of old prices in pen to front end-paper. Odd small marks/scattered foxing to pages. No other faults.
