Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. A good hardback reprint (published in the same year as the first edition) in a clean dust jacket, which has not been price-clipped. No previous ownership names. There is a bit of creasing at the head and tail of the spine (please see images of the spine, with and without the dust jacket), and a tiny bit of spotting on the top edge. There is a small blemish near the bottom of the half title page (pictured), and some tanning to the pages throughout. The dust jacket is clean and crisp, with just a tiny bit of sunning to the spine. Overall, a fresh and attractive hardback reprint with a few minor flaws.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. First Edition (first printing). 8vo. xxvii, 330pp. Olive-coloured boards lettered and ruled in white at the spine. A thin crease to the backstrip and just a touch of spotting to the front free endpaper, and also to the top- and fore edge. A very good copy in fractionally rubbed and toned non-price-clipped dust wrapper. Bloomfield (A19) notes that several states of the dust wrapper exist, but is unable to determine a firm priority. This example has the bar code and isbn number on the rear panel, and the price £16.95 printed to the base of the front flap. The seminal Larkin collection, a nine-page introduction by Larkin scholar Thwaite precedes nearly two hundred and fifty poems. Bloomfield A19.
