DJ is toned and tattered with the spine darkened. Edges show wear with chips and small tears. Blue cloth boards underneath show fading along edges and spine along with foxing spots. Internal binding is good, no hinge issues. The front pastedown delete that the front end page contains the original owner signature along the top and a small bookstore label in the corner. No other handwriting found, no bookplates, no library markings, nothing torn or loose. Pages are toned due to age and the end pages and pastedowns show toning and foxing due to reacting with dust jacket paper over the decades. Stated first edition on the copyright page. A note was found in between the pages, presumably from the original owner about the book. This will stay with the book.

Condition: Good. 1937. First Edition. 224 pages. No dust jacket. White cloth boards with gilt lettering. Clean pages with light tanning and mild foxing throughout. More pronounced to free endpapers and pastedowns. Pencil markings to front free endpaper. Top textblock edge dyed brown. Binding remains firm. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces and bumping to corners. Gilt lettering is darkened. Visible wear marks to boards.
